Peyote came into our rescue after loosing his owner, he lived alone for a couple weeks and had no idea what was going on. Pey is learning what playing is and how to just be a puppy. He had never been on a leash or had a collar on. Peyote needs a forever home that will continue training with him and ensure that the basic training gets completed. He needs a calm gentle adopter that understands he is sensitive and will take time to be fully comfortable. He gets along great with other dogs and is a bit over interested in the kitties at his foster home now that he is out of his shell. I had a cone (see original picture in comments, below) because I suffered an eye injury when I was in the shelter with my mom and siblings. They got me to a doctor really quick and my eye was sutured closed, in hopes that they could save my eye. (They really weren't sure it would work, but we all wanted to try to keep from removing my eye.) I got used to using one eye, but guess what?! I CAN NOW SEE OUT OF BOTH EYES!! I'm so glad my human friends wanted to do all they could to save my eye! I can't see as well as out of my other eye, but I can SEE! Kinda weird, right now, but I know I'll get used to it! See how my ears look funny? That's because I've had to wear a cone for SOOOO long, but I bet that'll change. If not, I don't care, because I can see.
